I spent most of this year completely away from deviantART and from the artistic scene in general. While I was away I often thought about why was it that I first approached dA and how was it that I grew recluctant to continue as part of the community... After some time I realized that one of the main reasons had to do with how I related to the community, and how art often seem to come in second place depending on how you develop your relationship with dA.

I realized that I was doing things "wrong". While deviantART is a community, I don't think it should be seen as some sort of myspace or facebook. The first and most important foundation of dA is (and hopefully always will be) art. I realized that I was putting much more emphasis in developing a relationship with the community than in developing my own skills as an artist, either as photographer or illustrator. I was doing things wrong and this time around I want to make up for it. I don't want to go around saying "Hi!" or giving void comments, and honestly I want to be treated like that too.

I want to give serious critique and recieve serious critique too. I there for encourage any of my viewers to comment seriously about my art and submissions, while refraining from posting friendly comments unnecessarily.

I do realize that this sounds rather rude, but please understand that I am not looking for friends over the Internet, I have plenty of friends in my real life already. I came to an artistic community with one sole purpose: to improve as an artist.



This account will be holding both my photography and my drawings. Therefore, I will divide my gallery in two sections.

Currently, I have 2,159 Favourites and I might need to purge the Fav gallery, but I will be happy to do so since it will give me the chance to really evaluate why is it that I value the favored picture. I will comment on every pic I choose to remain as a favorite, as well as in every picture I fav from now on.

Features will be rather random while I am at this, but I will try to showcase those pics I find to be most worthy of a feature, either because they are impressive or because they are good but have passed somehow unnoticed.
